I am thrilled to be a Killam scholar.  As a student living in Halifax and attending Dalhousie University, being associated with the generosity and prestige of the Killam family is a particularly great honour.  Along with this, the Killam funding has provided me with the freedom to dedicate more time to my research, without sacrificing my community and university involvement.  I chose to study at Dalhousie because I feel at home in the province of Nova Scotia, in the city of Halifax, and with my research team.
