This Lecture series, which has now become a regular feature in the Killam calendar, has two objectives: to stimulate public support for research at the pre-doctoral and post-doctoral levels at Canadian universities, and to encourage other wealthy Canadians to follow the example of Izaak Walton Killam and Dorothy Johnston Killam in endowing research with private resources.
